She'd greeted Val with a wide smile and stood beside her throughout the painful duration of the assembly because Kosoko decided to, after concluding his study motivational speech, tell some old folklore to the students.
The kids were in their own worlds, while Adeola seemed a little jittery, excited. She didn't think Kosoko’s story was that good to produce that sort of reaction from her. A tale they've all heard before about the greedy tortoise.
A thought came to her then, a reminder. “Uh, Adeola.”
“Yeah?” She turned to Val.
“Do you have any idea of how we're going to permanently solve this grade issue? I heard you were making progress?”
